Resources for God's children
Food Pantries, Meal Sites, Warming Rooms,
God’s desire for His children is not that we travel this
journey alone, but that we grow together, edifying each other. Believers are
called to minister to one another and do so by reminding each other about the
Savior and the great things He has done.
Some of you may have been a part of a “church” and still are
or have left the organized church for various reasons.
A community of believers? A place of peace and meditation?
The one true way? A social support? An important tradition? No one answer will
guide your course. Your faith, your family traditions, and your present needs
will all affect how YOU define "church". Whether you already have a
firm belief in God, or still long to know if there is meaning and purpose to
life, these steps can be your guide.
Finding a place to serve!
Hebrews 10:23-25 teaches, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
Resources
Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate
Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12 step recovery program for anyone
struggling with hurt, pain or addiction of any kind.
Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our life.
Adult-Teen Challenge
The Mission of Adult & Teen Challenge of Wisconsin
God wants us to know freedom from addiction and destructive behavior.
While this world promises freedom outside of God’s established
boundaries, the road leads to entrapment and a life out of control.
Adult & Teen Challenge is a Christian Discipleship program for
persons with life controlling addictions, such as drugs and alcohol. Our
ultimate goal is to bring a person into a right relationship with the
Lord so they may live responsibly.
Our Culture
Adult & Teen Challenge of Wisconsin creates an environment where
people can experience God. Viewing life through God’s lens is where
recovery begins. Our participants learn to establish new boundaries and
enjoy the freedom that comes from living within them.
Facing our fears, failures, and disappointments is painful, but it is
necessary to open our hearts to clarity and order. We begin to assume
responsibility for our thoughts, choices, who we call friends, where we
go, how we treat others, and how we react to situations.
Grief Share
It hurts to lose someone. Find help at Grief Share.
GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of
people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult
experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.
Find a group near you
Thousands of groups meet weekly around the world. Visit or join a group at anytime. And attend as many meetings as you like.

The Salvation Army: Feed the Kids
Feed The Kids is a summer meal program designed to meet the needs of
hungry children in Milwaukee’s poorest neighborhoods by providing them a
nutritious meal during the summer months.
The Salvation Army vans bring lunches to neighborhoods, parks and street corners serving more than 1,300 lunches a day, Monday - Friday, for 10 weeks each summer. Meals served during the Feed the Kids program are prepared by teams of volunteers.
Three ministry teams stop at 24 distribution sites providing lunches while building personal and community relationships. We see the same faces day after day and get to know the children. Many share that the lunch we provide is the only meal they have. Since 1990, volunteers have made over two million meals that have been delivered to hungry kids.
The Salvation Army Feed The Kids program works together with other community agencies to address the causes of hunger and to provide nutritious meals to hungry children who would otherwise go without.
